3. Crisis Preparedness and Response

DCI works in collaboration with companies and public sector organizations to shape crisis communications plans. When adversity happens, proper planning and response can minimize damage to businesses and reputations. DCI has worked extensively with media organizations in Washington state, including creation of the Washington Food Safety Forum in cooperation with broadcasters and newspaper organizations statewide. Negative media attention fuels crisis situations when organizations fail to react decisively and appropriately – for legal issues, employee incidents, natural or man-made disasters.
