WSDA Director Tours Valley Dairies - August 2015
The Washington State Department of Agricultures's newly appointed Director, Derek Sandison, visited three Valley dairies to see first-hand the operation and functionality of manure centrifuge, line manure lagoons, and manure solids separator equipment. Organized by the Washington State Dairy Federation, Valley dairy leaders described their efforts to manage manure nutrients, and how they are being converted for use as nutrient rich fertilizer.
